Learn to use your rulers and rotary cutters. Easy piecing techniques make this classic design using only 2 colors. You will be instructed in piecing a quilt top, how to measure and apply borders, and finishing the quilt with binding. Finished quilt is 70" x 78".

When made with flannels, this quilt becomes truly "toastie."  Regular cotton fabrics will also work well.  A great quilt when curling up on the sofa or in front of the fireplace. Finished quilt is 56" x 72".

This class is designed to be fun while learning Square In A Square techniques. Students will learn the principles of using the Square In A Square ruler. The class will cover two of the thirty eight Square In A Square possible options. Upon completion of this class each student will have the skills to complete a quilt using options 1 and 14 from the Square In A Square II book. Finished project is 32" x 32".

Join Don Linn and make this original design. This quilt is a great introduction to curved piecing.  This quilt was inspired by a textile design from the Art Deco era and is featured in Don’s new book ‘Design Art Deco Quilts’.
Don’t let the curves intimidate you. All you need to be able to do is cut accurately and sew an accurate scant ¼” seam. Full size paper pattern pieces are provided for all of the curved pieces and the rest of the pieces are very simple cuts. Let yourself go wild in the fabric selection. Put away your graph paper and calculator. EQ6 is a fantastic, friendly computer program that takes all of the work out of planning a quilt. EQ6 tools can be used to create anything from the simplest of horizontal layouts o the most complex custom layout. Draw applique blocks, pieced blocks, blocks that combine piecing and applique, and quilting stencils. This is a fundamentals class and is intended for beginners. Come and have fun while you learn!

This class is designed to introduce people to the exciting world of machine quilting.  No prior experience is needed.  If you have taken machine quilting from another teacher and were left frustrated then this is the class for you.  My teaching technique will get rid of the frustration and have you doing complicated feathers, etc. by the end of the class.  
I have taught hundreds of people how to do this and I can teach you too.  All class material will be supplied and the kit is free. This will include practice pieces and a pre-marked panel which will take you from a straight line to feathers in a set logical manner.

First and foremost the book ‘Moon Dance A Quilters Creative Journey’ is required for this class. By starting with a single design Moon Glow and contemplating a What if scenario, such as, what if this block were turned? Or; what if I change the values in the design or rearrange them differently? The quilter can explore the steps involved in developing a series of unique and beautiful quilts from one simple pattern. These quilts look amazing with Asian and other ethnic fabrics, panels and large floral.

This is a great second quilt for beginners. Building on the basic steps taught in Beginning Quilting, this quilt introduces half-square triangles, set-in and placing blocks on point. Finished quilt is 65" x 76".

This technique is simple and the results are amazing! It's a simple to do border treatment that will take your quilt from ordinary to extraordinary. It's all about cutting motifs from your border fabric, positioning them in a pleasing arrangement on the seam between the quilt center and the border strips, then using raw-edged applique' to stitch them to the quilt blending the quilt center and border. If you once cut and played with paper dolls you can make this quilt. Bring beauty to the borders.

Every other month a specially coordinated bundle of 2 ½”  precut strips and a surprise strip friendly pattern will be introduced. After having previewed the precut strips you will provide your own background, accent and/or border fabrics so everyone’s quilt will be unique. The fabrics will be revealed one month prior to the demo/class. The pattern will remain a secret until the day of the demo/class.

July 2010 Strip Club - Something fishy is going on! For this Strip Clb quilt think Summertime fun, blue water & blue skies. Your strips are bright and warm colors. You will need 2 1/8 yard of background fabric. Remember to think blue. This is a fun, no shoes, no shirt, no problems kind of quilt. Quilt size is 52" x 52".
The demo is free and takes 1/2 hr and is scheduled for Sat July 17th @ 09:30 am.

This Block of the Month Club will provide a monthly block packet of beautiful Hoffman batik fabrics, block instructions and a demonstration of the techniques used to complete the block.
The first month you will receive an organized notebook containing a glossary of terms, a sheet with fabric descriptions and photos, and a place to keep your monthly handouts. In the following months you will receive your fabric packet, block instructions and a demonstration of the techniques used to complete your block.
Monthly demonstrations will be presented from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM on the dates listed to the left.
Starting July 1 the Starter Kit cost is $65 (includes background fabric, fabric for the first 2 months blocks and binder with general instructions.
August 2010 – April 2011: Kit cost is $15 per month
May 2011: Kit cost is $55 and includes border, accent & binding fabrics.
